The Mercure London Bankside enjoys a superb location, placing guests within easy reach of attractions like the Tate Modern and Borough Market, with London Bridge also conveniently nearby. Guests appreciate the well-equipped, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Some rooms can be a bit small, though. Champagne afternoon tea at the Marco Pierre White restaurant is a highlight, and the breakfast is often described as good and abundant.

i found the hotel's location quite good! it was close to various attractions. the bed was also very comfortable, i slept well. the room was clean and tidy, it had a large walk in shower.
The evening meal on my first night was poor. service was slow and many items on the menu were unavailable. the menu font was also difficult to read. The waitress couldn't even read it!

Understaffed and Overpriced

convenient locationindifferent staffstock issues
The location suited my needs for a quick business trip.
The hot water was not working on my second day, and staff seemed indifferent. The bar ran out of most wines, with excuses about stock issues. I had to request a discount for the water issue, which they messed up. The overall service felt understaffed and poorly managed.

the breakfast was convenient with many options.
The room was not great. The toilet needed flushing multiple times. also, there was no plug in the sink, it was annoying. i had to ask for an extra towel, but they acted like it was a huge deal.
